  • The KFA Xpedition 4 is a conventional design, single engine, strut-braced, high-wing, four place aircraft constructed from of a combination of tube, fabric, aluminium and carbon materials. Initially the aircraft will only be available in the taildragger configuration.

    Control inputs will are via a joystick and rudder pedals. The elevator and ailerons are operated via combination of push-pull tubes and closed coupled bowden cables where the rudder is operated via cables from the rudder pedal and the flaps are operated via push-pull tubes. The aircraft is characterized by conventional ailerons and fowler type flaps.

    Various engines, propellers and avionics combinations can be installed into the aircraft. Engine options range from 160hp - 300hp. The Rotax 916iS will be the factory standard engine.

    The Xpedition 4 is currently undergoing testing and approval by the SACAA. We expect the first Amateurbuild to be flying by mid 2025 with the first kits being delivered shortly after. Production built aircraft will be avaialble from 2025/6 when all SACAA requirements have been met.

    Pre-orders are open. Customers from SN 02 to SN 10 will receive their aircraft at a special price of 230k usd. A 50% deposit will secure your slot, the dposit is not refundable but is transferable to another buyer.

These custom-built aircraft are tailored to accomodate the big boys, the Safari XL combines comfort with off-field capabilities ensuring you have the tools to conquer even the most challenging terrains. The KFA Safari XL kits comes standard with the STL wings. These wings are larger than the standard wing and incorporate carbon leading edges, and larger tanks. With a Safari, the sky is no longer the limit—it's just the beginning of your exploration. All KFA Safari XL aircraft are only available in Kit form for self assembly.
